Costco faces a major issue as a salmonella scare prompts the recall of ready-to-eat meatloaf meals across 26 states; customers should check sell-by dates and return affected products for refunds.

In a notice to members, Costco said supplier Griffith Foods had recalled a potentially contaminated ingredient.

While there are no illnesses connected to this recall, symptoms of Salmonella infection (salmonellosis) can start six hours to six days after infection, and they may last up to seven days.
